Article 13 is a consultancy that advises businesses and government departments on sustainable development, environmental issues and corporate social responsibility.

The main focus of the PR Brief was to position Article 13 as spokespeople on the issues of climate change and renewable energy and to gain broadcast coverage during global events such as the Kyoto Protocol and the G8 meeting in Gleneagles.

Phase One of the broadcast PR campaign involved meetings with planning editors and environmental correspondents from a range of broadcasters including BBC Special Events Team, Radio 4 Today and Sky News in order to introduce the potential spokespeople.

Phase Two involved drafting and circulating comments on the topics of climate change, the nuclear power debate, renewable energy forms and other related issues to news/planning desks prior to world events and offering Dr Paul Toyne from Article 13 as an interviewee.

Interviews were secured on Radio 4 Today, ITN News Channel, Sky News, Channel 5 and BBC Business for the Kyoto Protocol. Coverage was achieved on Radio 5 Live, CNN, CNBC Europe and BBC Swindon for the G8 Summit Back
